Mihirha's Legacy Updated and more Dev blog notes!
The new Language Option:
I have been working in the spanish for spain traduction, it was very difficult since the game has a lot of words to check.
Just to add a variation of one language, in this case spanish, it could take a month of development. So, originally this was all for the monthly update of the game, but i managed to squezze more time and work on something more.
The new Animations:
I had added a lot of miscellaneous objects that you can interact and they will give you an animation to show, i have added more than 10 different objects with their own more fancy animation that are distributed along the game maps.
Those animations have more polish that the rest of the game, they are using a new technique that allows me to put more frames on them, and it was very time consuming.
The objects, like vending machines are fun to interact with, and they give more life to the game.
Overall diary notes:
I originally wanted to make the object animations like one time use, but i think is better if they can be more cyclical in nature so it can be more enjoyed.
While this took me like all of January, I think i will save the steam big update announcement for latter; since the most benefit for this update are not english users, and the miscellaneous objects are not as numeros as i would wanted for a big update.
Man, i was trying to avoid this second language of spanish option because is very tedious and time consuming but i can only hope it will make the game more neutral for european spanish users, hope they like it.
What is next:
Ok, the thing is i am working on ideas to develop prototype ideas for the next game. Also, i will be working the other half work hours on updates for Mihirha's Legacy to make a bigger update for it.
I must admit it is kind of hard finding what to add to the game since it is done, but i will find stuff, there is always stuff that can be added to a videogame (and that are in range of my solo dev skill set.)
The idea is to release the next big update for Mihirha's Legacy at the end of Frebuary and then if the new P.O.D. works go to start the development of the new game full time. All depends on how much well i can manage on both projects at the same time.
Is a luxury having the free time with my budget and most of it is used to fight depression, isolation and all of that psychological quota.
Well, that is all for now, i think if i have more diary notes i will post them as blog updates; ah yea, marketing, maybe i can do some youtube videos or something to gain some cloud, there is just a lot of stuff and no time.
