Blog Talk and Dev Update


I'm making videos for my Youtube channel and man, that is taking a lot of time. I need to start to allocate more time for game dev, the engine that i'm using is not made for the stuff i want to do. So, learing another game engine is a good possibility.

There is also that Unity sets of declarations, overall it just puts into question how engines can just make announcements changing the TOS policies without warning the user. I'm Using RPG MAKER but there has been like a silence on a lot of engines, it is hard for me to tell if they want to be professional and just focus on their platform or they have some kind of moral obligation with Unity that forces them to remain silent. 

Overall, the good thing is that Open Source Engines look way more interesting; A lot of the mechanics developing for my new game really deviates from the RPG MAKER  engine. I must admit that i love developing on it, even making mechanics from 0 without any reference. Is fun.

So i will be trying to learn a second engine just in case, i have invested a lot on RPG MAKER but not sure if the engine is limiting me or if something like Unity is going to happen. Guess i have to try more options and see what happens.

This new game is really pushing all of my skills, it is very rad. Hope i can deliver the world at its best. That probably means the 2024 date is too optimistic, it will depend if i crunch all the time but not super crunch like with the Astrolarix. Or i can just find a way to get an extra year or two of development for the game and protect my mental health...
